Job Description:

Iqbal Purewal DBA Purewal Veggie Farm is currently hiring 13 General Farm Workers to join them in Abbotsford, British Columbia as soon as possible.

Job Duties:

·         Field work- Soil Preparation, Plowing, Pruning, Planting, Weeding.

·         Fertilize, Cultivate, Irrigate, Harvest and prune crops (vegetables and berries).

·         Wash, Spray and Sorting of crops.

·         Detect disease/problems in crop and fruits.

·         Set and monitor water lines.

·         Clean farm machinery and equipment.

·         Examine produce for quality and prepare for market.

·         Follow all the safety standards.

·         Report to and follow directions of a farm supervisor.

Benefits: Accommodation will be provided at $30/week. Relocation expenses & medical insurance for first 3 months covered by employer, if required.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling.

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Wet/damp, Dusty, rain/ shine, hot/cold weather (Candidate should be physically able and willing to work on the farm in rain/sun or shine).
