Position: Food Service Supervisor

Number of job vacancies: 2

Working Hours: 40hrs per week (overtime wage will be applied after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week)

Wage: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour

Benefits: 4% of each gross payroll

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Bluetail is a Japanese sushi restaurant located in Kelowna, BC, delivering extraordinary dining experiences and creating an inspiring healthy community in the food industry.

 

Main duties

·        Oversees the daily food service in all areas of kitchen and dining room

·        Supervise and check the assembly of food plates and delivery of foods

·        Handle shift schedules for food services workers and assign them tasks on daily basis

·        Coordinate frequent workplace inspections

·        Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service workers

·        Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations

·        Participates in menu preparation, ensuring menus are updated and recipes are revised

·        Ensuring all equipment is clean and maintained

·        Communicate positively and enthusiastically to the restaurant patrons and address their issues promptly

·        Ensure that each employee follows safety regulations and procedures

·        Train staff

·        Ensure food service and quality control

Requirements

·        Completion of secondary school

·        Flexible availability for weekends & holidays

·        Food safe level 1

·        2-3 years of experience in food preparation/service is required
