Position: Food Service Supervisor

Working Hours: 30~40hrs per week, shifted (including weekends)

Wage:  $20.00 ~ $22.00 per hour

Benefits:  4% vacation pay

Main duties

 

·        Oversees the daily food service in all areas of kitchen and dining room

·        Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

·        Handle shift schedules for food services workers and assign them tasks on daily basis

·        Coordinate frequent workplace inspections

·        Plan menus and determine related food and labour costs

·        Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of worker

·        Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations

·        Ensure strict compliance with restaurant’s standards in all aspects of service

·        Participates in menu preparation, ensuring menus are updated and recipes are revised

·        Ensuring all equipment is clean and maintained

·        Communicate positively and enthusiastically to the restaurant patrons and address their issues promptly

 

Employment Requirements

·        Completion of secondary school
·        Completion of a community college program in food service administration, hotel and restaurant management or related discipline OR 1 years of experience in food preparation or service
·        English is required
