Aramark Canada is seeking an organized individual interested in pursuing a career in Hospitality, Culinary Management, or Nutrition to join the Dalhousie Food Services team as a Food Service Supervisor. You will report to Dalhousie University, 6230 Coburg Rd, Halifax, NS B3H 1Z7, Canada. However, you will be required to work at various locations in the region.

Job Duties:
- Ensure cleanliness, hospitality, accuracy, maintenance, product quality and speed of service during shift.
- Assists in ensuring optimal team member coverage at all times and works in various positions during busy periods to maintain optimal service levels through demonstrated floor leadership.
- Overall supervision of the operations, including the staff members and servers during the shift.
- Responsible for smooth food service and timely execution of customer orders.
- Assist with any onsite promotions and advertising provided by the Marketing Manager.
- Lead by example and demonstrate the importance of treating every team member, customer and client with respect.
- Ensure the quantity and quality of food being served or delivered for catering orders.
- Monitor staffing levels and report any changes that may be required to the manager.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
- Handle customer service complaints with assistance from the manager with an appropriate sense of urgency.
- May be required to perform other duties reasonably assigned by the company.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary School or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years in the food service industry.
Language: English
- Outstanding communication skills
- Strong with prioritization and time management
- Strong customer service skills
- Flexible; evening and weekend work may be required
Hourly Rate: $ 15.20 to $ 20 per hour for 37.5 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
