·       30.00 to 35.50 hourly CAD (To be negotiated based on experience)

·       Permanent employment

·       Full time (30 to 40 hours per week)

·       Day, Early Morning, Morning, Weekend

·       Starts as soon as possible

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities / Tasks

·       Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered

·       Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements

·       Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding

·       Prepare flooring plans and scheduling

·       Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors

·       Prepare tenders and quotations

·       Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings

·       Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings

·       Estimate costs and materials

·       Prepare floors for installations

·       Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants

·       Perform direct glue-down carpet installations

·       Perform double-bond carpet installations

·       Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms

·       Install vinyl decking materials

·       Prepare rough plans and sketches

·       Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to base

·       Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout

·       Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered

·       Align and straighten tiles

·       Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles

·       Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools

·       Mix, lay and polish terra surfaces

·       Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel

·       Install tile strips

·       Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite

·       Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs
