Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years as a Floor covering installer or related work

Work setting: Commercial, Residential, Various locations

Personal suitability: Organized, Team player

Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, 

Handling heavy loads, : Bending, crouching, kneeling, Hand-eye co-ordination

 

 

 

Tasks: 

Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered, 

Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding, 

Measure, cut and install resilient floor coverings, 

Prepare and install hardwood floors, 

Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, 

Prepare floors for installations, 

Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
