F/T Japanese Food Cook (491 Baker St., Nelson, BC)
Kurama Sushi Japanese Restaurant Ltd. is seeking two fulltime Japanese Food Cooks to join our team.
Job Description/Duties:
- Prepare and cook individual authentic Japanese dishes/food
- Work with specialized cooking equipment
- Ensure quality of food and determine size of food portions
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas
- Monitor food stocks and kitchen supplies
- Train new kitchen staffs
Education:
- Completion of secondary school
Skills and Experience:
- 3 years of commercial cooking experience at Japanese restaurant is required
- Perform all the duties above without supervision
- Knowledge of organic foods/ingredients as an asset
Language:
- Communication skills in English
Compensation:
- $20/hour, 40hrs/week, 4% vacation pay
