We are looking to hire on a full-time engineering project manager. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, estimating and carrying out capital projects related to the field, through the Canadian assembly plant. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a high level of leadership.

Travel across Canada will be required for this position, depending on the project (30-50% of the time).

Duties:

• Plan, manage and support the various projects for the North American market, process installation projects, packaging, building and utilities.
• Actively participate in the development and maintenance of assembly standards.
• Coordinate and supervise the execution of projects, including monitoring the various subcontractors and make yourself available during the work (perhaps outside regular working hours).
• Collaborate with management to define equipment specifications and purchase offers, make their selection and group purchases in order to optimize costs.
• Ensure rigorous management of the allocated budget and communicate progress on a regular basis.
• Establish, monitor and respect project schedules, communicate to the project team the progress, problems encountered, and solutions proposed.
• Ensure health and safety of workers and the work environment are being followed.
• Ensure adherence to the quality system.
• Ensure that the projects’ deliverables are conforming to the projects’ specifications and requirements and fulfilling the projects’ scope, quality standards and are done within the decided budget.
• Monitor changes to design and construction drawings, assessing effects to project scope, and measuring, valuing, preparing variations memorandum and negotiating these variations with the clients to get them approved.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a must.
• 3 – 5 years of relevant experience, experience in project management is an asset;
• Knowledge of automation and controls is an asset;
• Project Management Professional, PMP® is an asset.
• BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (BIM) certification is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a field approach;
• Demonstrates a high degree of autonomy, ability to prioritize and manage emergencies;
• Communicates in English (both orally and in writing)
• Be a team player and have an appetite for big challenges;
• Willingness to travel across Canada (30-50%).
