We develop, design, manufacture and deliver high-performance energy storage systems that integrate our proprietary Battery Modules, Battery Management Systems (BMS), Enclosures and Power Conversion System (PCS).
Located: 3600 Steeles Ave E, Markham, ON L3R 9Z7
Main Duties:
- To provide technical and thought leadership to the R&D and Product Development group.
- Lead the team, working with factory to design, assemble and commission energy storage and control systems
- Conduct system hardware FMEA analysis, and reliability and failure analysis
- Collaborate with management team, marketing staff and customers to develop detailed specifications and estimates for prospected projects
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and other internal teams in Canada and the international market
- Participate directly in the design, development and inspection of our battery energy storage system
Requirements:
- 5+ working experience within the Large-Scale Electrical industry.
- PhD degree preferred (Master’s will be considered) in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with Solar Generation, Microgrids, and Energy Efficiency preferred.
- Experience with renewable energy or energy storage systems are preferred. (At least one year preferred)
- Solid knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD, and other engineering modelling tools (3 years preferred)
- Familiarity with engineering programming languages such as C, and Python.
- Familiar with the working principle of electrical wiring and electrical components.
- Good knowledge of the Ontario Health and Safety Act
- Adaptable to a start-up work environment.
- Able to travel both domestic, and international. Approx. 25%.
Compensation:
$98,007.00 annually for full-time, permanent position of 35 hours/week
