The Learning Experience Children's Centre LTD. is looking for a team leader – Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Supervisor!

Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Supervisor

Start Date: As soon as possible

 

Conditions:

  • Employment Type: Permanent / Full-time
  • Working hours: 30 ~ 40 hours per week
  • Compensation: $29 ~ $35 per hour (Depending on experience)
  • Location: 3862 Wellington Street, Port Coquitlam, BC  V3B 3Z4

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and coordinating activities of the team members who are early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants to meet the company’s standards.
  • Participating in meetings with the owner and the manager for operational purposes such as hiring and planning etc.  
  • Leading the training plans for ECE practicum students, newly hired educators, and the team members who are in need of professional development.
  • Crafting and implementing educational programs that aid in the holistic development of children.
  • Leading engaging activities for children, including storytelling, music sessions, and creative arts and crafts.
  • Organizing children for daily activities, including outdoor activities and field trips.
  • Supporting children in their daily routines, including help with eating, dressing, and bathroom use.
  • Observing children’s behavior and development and providing detailed reports to educators and supervisors.
  • Up keeping the daycare facilities and equipment, as well as assisting with cleaning and meal preparation.
  • Actively participating in staff meetings to discuss the children's progress and address any challenges.
  • Preparing reports on children and activities as required by the administration.
  • Opening and closing daycare.

Requirements:

  • Language: English
  • Education: Completion of post-secondary level of education in early childhood education
  • BC ECE Certificate which is certified by BC ECE Registry is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in Childcare or Child Education is required.
