Positions Available: 1 NOC Job Title: Early Childhood Educator (NOC4214) Job Location(s) : #510-1070 Lynn Valley Road, North Vancouver, BC V7J 1Z8 Job Description: -Information about the Company: Full Day Childcare Centre Licensed for care of Children 6 months to 3 years of age. -This position is to work with children Ages: 6 months – 36 months -Business location: 1525 Taylor Way, West Vancouver, BC, V7S 1N5 -Business Mailing address: 1525 Taylor Way, West Vancouver, BC, V7S 1N5 -Location of work: #510-1070 Lynn Valley Road, North Vancouver, BC, V7J 1Z8 -Type of Employment: Full time–Permanent -Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job duties: -Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children -Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest, provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity -Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits -Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor -Knowledge of Daycare Services Act -Knowledge of licensing regulations -Establish guidelines for behavior -Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children -Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children -Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members -Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers -Order supplies and equipment -Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties -Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children Requirements: -Education: A bachelor's degree or college diploma in early childhood education is required. -Experience: more than 1 year -Must have valid Early Childhood Educator certificate issued by the British Columbia Ministry of Children and Family Development (ECE Registry) -Satisfactory criminal record check is required -Able to work independently. -Well developed interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication. -Valid First Aid certificate Salary: $ 18.15 hourly, Between ( 7:30 )AM to ( 5:30 ) PM, ( 8 ) hour(s) lunch break (Unpaid) Monday-Friday Benefits: Dental insurance : After 4 months probation Extended Health : After 4 months probation Apply by e-mail to: jade@olivegrovechildcare.ca Apply by mail to: #510-1070 Lynn Valley Road, North Vancouver, BC V7J 1Z8
