Job Position: Early Childhood Educator – Infant Toddler, Permanent, Full-time
Job Location: 1721 Lions Gate Lane, North Vancouver, British Columbia V7P 0C7 Canada
Wage and working hrs: $23.00 per hour, 37.5 hrs per week (Vacation pay: 4%)
Benefit: MSP, Dental and Extended Health
Required Qualification:
– A Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) and Infant Toddler (IT) License to practice in BC
– Completion of Early Childhood Education or relevant course
– Confident in English communication
– A Valid First Aid Certificate
– Previous work experience or practicums in an early childhood environment is an asset
Responsibilities:
– Establish and conduct activity programs designed for young children
– Organize equipment and materials before activities
– Maintain a neat, orderly and clean environment
– Lead activities by telling or reading stories and teaching songs
– Assist children in expressing themselves by listening and responding with questions
– Observe how children use materials and interact with each other
– Ensure the children’s environment is healthy and safe
– Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
– Maintain positive and supportive relationships with parents and families
