Job requirements:

•ECE Assistant certificate to practice in BC

•First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate

Educational Requirements:

•Completion of Post-secondary course(s) in ECE

Security and Safety

•Criminal record check

Language requirements:

English

Start Date: ASAP

Wage:

$19.00/hour

Hours:

30 – 40h/week

Benefits:

10 days paid vacation or 4% vacation pay, Dental plan, Health care plan

Job Duties:

• Support early childhood educators in conducting childcare programs to promote the physical, intellectual, social, cultural, creative and emotional development of children
• Using storytelling, role-playing, games, music and art for children in activities
• Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties, including preparation of snacks and arranging rooms
• Keep a healthy and safe environment for children / Clean and sanitize daily with bleach and water solution;
• Assist children in eating correctly, dressing and appropriate toilet habits;
• Observe and report on children to early childhood educators
• Build good relationships and cooperate with other teachers and staff working with children
