Lil Clubhouse Childcare is seeking an F/T Early Childhood educator.

Job requirements:
•ECE Basic certificate to practice in BC
•First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate
•Experience an asset
Educational Requirements:
College certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education
Language requirements:
English
Start Date: ASAP
Wage:
$19.00-21.00/hour (Depending on experience)
*Plus ECE wage enhancement as long as government funding continues.
Hours:
30 – 40h/week
Benefits:
•10 days paid vacation or 4% vacation pay
Job Duties:
• Develop childcare programs to promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
•Educate children through reading stories, teaching songs, taking them to local attractions and giving them the opportunity to express their creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
• Encourage and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toileting habits
• Plan and maintain healthy and safe environment for children / Clean and sanitize daily with bleach and water solution;
• Detect the signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor;
•Evaluate the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members;
• Build a good relationship with employees and community service providers working with children
