Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Door assembly
- Operate pneumatic hand tools and other wood working machinery and hand power tools (i.e. miter saw, dual saw, table saw, shapers, nail gun, drill etc.).
- Assemble door panels, frames, and glass inserts to fabricate the final door system.
- Cut, shape and fit materials to form parts and components.
- Install hardware such as knobs, handle sets and hinges.
- Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies. Help ensure co-workers are working safely and following safety requirements.
- Produce quality products while maintaining required pace.
- Load and unload wooden materials and move materials to work areas.
- Installation of doors and windows when required
- Perform other activities as directed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience using tape measure, hand tools including nail guns, staple guns and saws.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, measurements, and sales orders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Door manufacturing environment experience or carpentry background is preferred.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift product with a weight of 50+lbs.
