We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The Dental Assistant will provide essential support to our dentists during patient examinations and treatments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient care. In addition to assisting with clinical procedures, the Dental Assistant will perform clerical duties to ensure smooth office operations.

Job duties:

1. Prepare patients for dental examination and assist the dentist during examinations and dental treatments
2. Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment
3. Prepare dental instruments, fillings, compounds and various dental materials
4. Take and develop X-rays
5. Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant
6. Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts
7. Educate patients concerning oral hygiene
8. Perform clerical duties such as prepare invoices, process payments, schedule patient appointments, record dental procedures performed and order dental and office supplies
9. May perform intra-oral duties such as remove sutures, take and record vital signs, apply desensitizing agents, topical anaesthetic, anticariogenic agents and coronal whitening, fabricate, place, and remove temporary crowns and restorations, and apply and remove rubber dams.
10. May also perform pulp vitality testing as well as periodontal screening and recording.
