We are fully serving Japanese-style cuisine in the center of Downtown Vancouver, BC. Whether you have been eating sushi your entire life or are a first-timer feeling a little adventurous, with our extensive menu selections, Sushi California has got you covered! Now we are hiring experienced sushi cooks.

Position: Sushi Cook

Responsibilities:
o Prepare, cook, and serve complete meals according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking, quality, and service standards.
o Make various types of sushi, sashimi, roll sushi, salad, and combination sushi.
o Estimate and plan food portions and food requirements.
o Schedule and supervise kitchen staffs.
o May assist in hiring and recruitment of new staffs.
o May clean sushi bar/kitchen and work area.
o Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
o Order ingredients, supplies and equipment as required.
o Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
o Manage kitchen operations.
Requirement:
– Completion of secondary school is required
– 2 ~ 3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
Wage: $16.50-18.00 per hour
Benefit: 4% of vacation,pay, free meals, and tips
Working Hours: 35-40 hours a week
