We are currently looking for a cook to join our team!

• Position: Cook
• Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week (weekends and holidays)
• Wage: $16.25 per hour
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Start date: ASAP
• Benefits: Staff discount on food and beverage, 4% vacation fee
• Work Location: 1542 W 2nd Ave, Vancouver, BC V6J 1H2, Canada

Job duties

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Handle, prep, store hot/cold items in accordance with the food safety terms
• Ensure food quality meets the standard
• Oversee kitchen operations
• Perform other tasks as requested by the Executive Chef
• Clean kitchen and work area all through the shift
• Maintain inventory and records of food supplies 
• Prepare an assortment of food items/memorize the menu
• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
• May train new kitchen staff, if needed

Requirements/Education and other requirements

• Completion of secondary school 
• At least 1 year of Kitchen experience/ restaurant experience
• Related Japanese or Korean cuisine license/certificate is an asset but not required
• Able to lift/carry around 50 lb. items
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks on the go
