The Vancouver Fish Company is a seafood-focused Restaurant & Bar located on historic Granville Island in beautiful Vancouver, BC.

We have assembled an amazing team of kitchen and service staff and are excited to have the opportunity to be at customer’s service while presenting a fresh take on seafood in Vancouver.

Now we are hiring the experienced Cook.

Employer: PEAK HOSPITALITY LTD. (o/a The Vancouver Fish Company Restaurant & Bar)

Position: Full-time Cook

Vacancy: 2

Wage: $18.00 ~ $20.00 per hour

Working Condition: 40 hours a week.

Benefit: 4% from gross income for paid vacation per year.

Working (Business) Location: 1517 Anderson St, Vancouver, BC V6H 3R5

Responsibilities:

– Set up workstation with all needed ingredient and cooking equipment.
– Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat and etc.)
– Cook complete various foods according to our recipe.
– Check food while cooking to stir or turn.
– Check quality of ingredients.
– Order or receive food supplies after selecting best qualities.
– Ensure all food meet food safe and quality standard.
– Work with specialized equipment such as deep-fryer and grill etc.
– Clean kitchen and work area.

Requirement:

– Completion of secondary school

– 2+ years of commercial cooking experience is required.

– Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, boiling etc.)

– Good communication skills

– Ability to work in a team

– ability to follow all sanitation procedures
