Tawara Japanese Restaurant in Surrey, BC is looking for a Cook to work with our team.

Title: Cook

Opening: 1 position (Permanent, Full-time)

Salary: CAD 15.20 ~ CAD 17.20 per hour

Working Hours: At least 30 hours per week

Benefit: 4% of gross pay or 10 days of paid vacation

Location: #103-15153 Highway 10, Surrey, BC V3S 9A5

Requirement: 

·        Completion of secondary school education 

·        At least 2 years of commercial cooking experience

Main Duties:

·        Oversee kitchen operations

·        Prepare and cook Japanese cuisine from the menu such as sushi, sashimi, rolls, tempura, teriyaki, udon, salad, etc.

·        Plan menu and determine food portions and size

·        Prepare authentic Japanese style sauce and salad dressing

·        Ensure to maintain high quality of foods

·        Monitor and order supplies

·        Train kitchen helpers or new cook with advanced cooking skills

·        May clean kitchen and work area
