Working Hours: 40hrs per week, may have to work overtime if needed

Wage: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

Benefits: 4% Vacation pay of gross salary in every pay period

Katsu San is a modern Japanese Pork Cutlet restaurant, located in Richmond, BC. We specialize in pork cutlet and house made breadcrumbs inspired from traditional Japanese recipes but created with a modern twist. We are currently looking for a full time cook. The ideal candidate will excel as a team player and will work well under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

 

Main duties

• Verify preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Able to foresee busy periods and prepare the kitchen accordingly
• Work independently and in cooperation with others
• Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions
• Maintain and implements a cleaning routine which includes daily, monthly and annual cleaning of the food service areas
• Instruct kitchen staffs in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Ensure safe storage of food including the Emergency preparedness supplies
• Work culinary knowledge of food preparations
• Ensure overseeing kitchen operations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Employment Requirements

• Completion of secondary school is usually required
• Three years of commercial cooking experience may be required
