Saboten was founded in 1966 in the neighborhood of Shinjuku in Tokyo. The name Saboten or “cactus” in Japanese was selected to represent the founder’s vision, which is to build a shop that will thrive with vitality even in the harshest conditions. With dedication to serve the best Tonkatsu, Saboten has flourished into one of the largest Tonkatsu chains with over 500 shop in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and now at Aberdeen Centre, Richmond Canada.

Location：Unit 3180 Aberdeen Center, 4151 Hazelbridge Way, Richmond, BC V6X 4J7
Wage: $16.50 / hour
Start Date: As soon as possible
Vacancies: 1 vacancy
Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Benefits: 4% vacation pay

Main job duties include:
1.Prepare food according to specifications set forth in the Saboten SOP manuals
2.Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
3.Assist with inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
4.Perform other assignments or duties as assigned by the Store Manager, such as oversee kitchen operations, schedule or supervise kitchen helpers
5.Prepare food according to specifications set forth in the Saboten SOP manuals
6.Memorize and apply all Saboten – specialized galley terminology, plating, menu items, procedures, galley utensils, abbreviations and methodologies
7.Comply with all federal, state and local regulations as well as with the Saboten Food Safety Manual SOP and health, sanitation and safety guidelines
8.Comply with Saboten uniform and appearance standards per SOP guidelines

1.Secondary school certificate or equivalent experience;

2.High integrity and work ethics;

3.Able to work independently and collaboratively;

4.Strong verbal and written communication skills;

5.Passionate and enthusiastic in delivering all the job responsibilities;

6.Ability to work in a shifting schedule including weekends and holidays

 

Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Minimum experience: Six months to one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent
