Rooster Cafe and Kitchen is hiring for 2 Cook positions.
Terms of Employment/Salary:
Full-time (35 hrs per week)
– Permanent
– Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend Shifts
– $16.50/hour, 2 weeks annual vacation pay
Job Duties:
– Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
– Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
– Inspect kitchens and food service areas
– Schedule and supervise kitchen staff and helpers
– Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
– Train kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking and handling of food
– Clean kitchen and work areas
– Manage kitchen operations
Skill Requirements (including language, education and work experience):
– English
– Completion of High School
– Minimum two years to less than 3 years of experience
– Food Safety Certificate
– Excellent oral communication, organized, takes initiative, team player, flexible and reliable
