Full Job Description.
Skills and Responsibilities
Food preparation, such as battering fish etc.
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
Ensure food is cooked at the proper temperature and at the proper length of time.
Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures.
Store food in designated areas following all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Operate food services equipment such as deep-fat fryers in a safe manner and according to established policies and procedures.
Be aware of and follow all kitchen health and safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils.
Clean workstation thoroughly prior to leaving area.
Energetic and self-confident with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressure, work environment with repetitive tasks.
Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time.
Able to follow standards and procedures.
Reliable, punctual, dependable, organized, attention to detail.
Restaurant, Urban area, work on site, public transportation available.
