We are currently open to hire a Construction Project Manager to join our team.
This person will be responsible for:
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
- Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Develop and implement quality control programs
- Represent company on matters such as business services and union contracts negotiation
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients
- Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
- Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff
- Manage project budget and forecast project costs on an ongoing basis, managing client expectations to ensure profitability.
- Negotiate and mage sub-trade contracts, and monitor the quality and effective completion of work packages.
- Create and oversee the schedule. Managing material lead times, trade scheduling, and sequencing the overall schedule to make sure work progresses on a day to day basis
· Ensures that projects are delivered in accordance with City and Provincial standards with minimal disruption to the public in an effective, efficient manner
· Maintains control and monitoring of projects to ensure projects are completed within the required construction schedule, within the approved budget and spending authority including recommendations for any required budget adjustments
Ideal candidate must have:
– A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Civil or Infrastructure engineering
– Perfect verbal and written communication skills
– A minimum of 5 year of experience as a Construction project manager
– BE able to manage projects with an estimate value starting from 1,000,000$CAD
– PMP or PMQ certification is required
