Location of work: 815 Norah Cres, Thunder Bay, ON P7C 5H9 and 123 Queen Street Dryden On P8N 1A6
Some work within 2-3 hours from each city
Education: Some Secondary is an asset – Trade school is preferred
Work Experience: Willing to train
Job Duties: Load and unload construction materials and equipment and move materials and equipment to work areas
Assist tradespersons such as carpenters in construction activities
Demolish buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
List and photograph salvageable materials and contents
Remove debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
Clean up water and other contaminants at job sites
Photograph and record pertinent information at various worksite using an app based program
Assist with the install of drywall, insulation, windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, flooring, cabinets and hardware
Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed
Job Requirements: Be able to work Safety
Must provide Criminal record check
Be able to provide own tools/equipment as well as steel-toed safety boots
Able to work in confined spaces; At heights; Noisy; Dusty
Valid international drivers license is required. Travel expenses are paid by employer (when sent out of town to work)
Physically demanding; Bending, crouching, kneeling; Large workload; Tight deadlines; Overtime required
Be able to work out of town as required within 3 hour radius.
