Salary: CAD $22.00/Hourly

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Overtime: $ 33.00 hourly after working for over 40 hours a week

Vacation pay: 4 % of gross salary

Language: English

Start Date of Employment (Approx.): As soon as possible

Minimum Education: Not required

Job Description

Forefront Framing Ltd. located in Langley, B.C is looking for 1 Full-Time and Permanent Construction Helper.

 

Employment Requirements:

·      No experience is required but some experience as a general construction laborer is an asset.

·      No specific education is required.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload construction materials such as lumber, tools, and other equipment at a worksite 
  • Help in measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling and joining materials of wood

·       Set up equipment to be used at a job site and hand tools to framing carpenters as they perform their tasks

·       Operate equipment to nail together boards for framing 

·       Aid in the constructing and installing walls, floors and roof

  • Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities

·       Pack up tools, put away any unused materials, and take down beams, fence panels and gates if necessary

  • Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed
  • Weight Handling: 50 – 80 pounds
