Wage: $20-23 per hour to start and increase once you show your abilities
Benefits Package (if applicable): Available after 3 months – extended medical and dental 50/50 paid by employer/employee
Hours (each week): 32-44
Location of work: Various locations in Edmonton and surrounding area (40km max)
Education: Some secondary is an asset
Work Experience: Willing to to train – experience is an asset
Job Duties: Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas as required
Erect and dismantle concrete forms and barricades required at construction sites
Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete
Assist form setters in concrete activities
Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities such tampers and rollers
Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed in a safe manner
Perform other activities at construction sites, as required
Job Requirements: Punctual
Attention to detail
Lift 50 lbs repetitively
Able to stand for long periods of time
Physically demanding
Able to work in a team
Own transportation is an asset
Able to work independent
Not afraid to ask questions
Able to work safe
