Title of position: Commercial Roofing Laborer

Number of Positions: 5

Starting Immediately

Terms of Employment: Full Time Permanent

Wage: 26 Hourly

Hours (each week): 32

Language Requirements: English 

Job Duties:

Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas

Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites

Assist roofers with all required construction activities

Assist in removal of old roofing systems using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials

Must follow safety procedures at all times 

Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment

Oil and grease lifts and similar equipment for people and materials 

Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.

Job Requirements:

Comfort with working at heights while following safety protocols

Extended work hours may be required

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to climb up and down ladders

Ability to work at heights

Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment

Ability to work and communicate effectively with others

Ability to learn and follow safety policies

Ability to work on weekends and/or Holidays, as needed

Able to travel out of town

Work Experience:

Flat roofing: 1-year experience is an asset 

Education:

Some secondary is an asset

Various locations in Saskatchewan
