Description
One full-time position. Required as soon as possible. $18.65/hour for 40 hours/week. Mornings, days and weekends. Administer medications, launder clothing and household linens, assist with regular exercise, e.g. walking, shopping for groceries and household supplies. Personal vehicle not required. Provide personal care and companionship. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties. Assist the client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene. Prepare and serves nutritious meals. Must speak English. No degree, certificate or diploma required. Experience of 1 year to less than 2 years required. Experience working with the elderly and persons with Alzheimer’s Disease required. Physical capabilities include: bending crouching, kneeling, a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods and walking. Additional Skills/Assets: punctual, organized, effective interpersonal skills, dependable, flexible, initiative, excellent oral communication, judgement, reliable and client focused. Must be capable of lifting between 45 and 60 kgs. A non-smoking and scent sensitive environment. Public transportation available. Urban area.
