Description

Position is for in home child care of 1 year old and school age child (grade 1), and assuming full responsibility for household in absence of parents, performing light housekeeping and cleaning, as well as pet care.

Specific duties include bathing, dressing and feeding infant, discipline children as needed, preparing infant for rest period, sterilize bottles, preparing formulas and changing diapers for infant, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, tend to the emotional well being of children, instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, organize activities such as games and outings for children, prepare and serve nutritious meals, supervise and care for children, help with homework.

Salary: $15.75/hr for 40 hour work week.

Workplace is in employer’s home (Burlington ON near Brant Street) – optional accommodation available on a live in basis. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

Job Requirements:
Non Smoker
Languages: English
Education: College or equivalent experience (3 -5 years)
Emergency Chid Care first aid and CPR
Personal Suitability: Organized, Judgement, Flexibility, Reliability, Team Player, Effective interpersonal Skills, Excellent Oral Communication
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, references required, vulnerable sector check

Transportation: Public transportation is available
