Job requirements
Languages: English fluent in oral, reading and writing
Education: High school diploma
Essential Experience: Minimum 1 year home child caregiving experience School age (6 – 12 years), Toddler to pre-school (1 – 3 years), conducting age appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading.
Essential Personal Suitability: *NON Smoker* Initiative, Organized, Judgement, Flexibility, Reliability, Team player, Effective interpersonal skills, Client focus, Excellent written communication, Excellent oral communication
Security and Safety: Medical exam, Drug test, Child abuse registry check, Criminal record check, Reference required, vulnerable sector check
Key Responsibilities: Help children with homework, discussions, audio-visual presentations and outdoor walks, provide age appropriate educational support through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings, assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Other responsibilities: Bathe, dress and feed toddlers and children, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, prepare toddlers and children for rest periods, keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment at home, take children to and from school and to appointments, tend to emotional well-being of children, instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, prepare and serve nutritious meals (considering allergies), supervise and care for children, shop for food and household supplies
