Oh & Lee Food Ltd. DBA Umami Sushi in Surrey, BC is looking for a skilled and experienced Full-time Chef.

Conditions

• Position: Chef (Full-Time, Permanent position)
• Hourly Wage: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours per week
• Ability to do shift work (daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
• Vacation: 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% gross salary
• Position Available: 1

Job Requirements

• Completion of secondary school
• Experience: 3 years or more commercial cooking experience as a Cook
• Language: English

Job Duties

• Prepare and cook cuisine from the menu such as sashimi, sushi, roll sushi, bento set, salad, donburi, teriyaki, udon noodle soup, party tray and combination sushi, tempura, etc.
• Handle raw fish and make fish fillets
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
• Hire, train, and supervise cooks and other food preparation workers
• Create new recipes and determine how to present the food
• Determine size of food portions
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
