Mauritana Enterprises Ltd. dba. Gusto A Taste of Italy in Vancouver, BC is looking for skilled and experienced Full-time, Permanent Chef.

Conditions:

• Position: Chef (Full-Time, Permanent position)
• Working hours: 30-40 hours per week (shifted schedule)
• Able to work on weekends and holidays according to the work schedule
• Hourly Wage: $21.00-$24.00/hour (to be determined depend on experience and skills)
• Vacation: 10 days paid holidays per year or 4% gross salary
• Position Available: 1

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school
• Experience; 3 years of experience in commercial cooking experience
• Language: English is required

Job Duties

• Prepare and cook complete meals in various types of panini including prosciutto, mortadella, porchetta panino, and pasta including lasagna, gnocchi, or penne
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
• Supervise cooks and other kitchen staffs and food preparation workers
• Create new recipes and determine how to present the food
• Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
