Carpenter

Description

RimRoc Inc. is now hiring Carpenters with experience in restoration construction. 

Duties include: 

• Measure, cut, shape, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Built and dismantle wooden forms for concrete pouring
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Build foundations
• Install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems

Requirements of the position are: 

• at least two years of experience in carpentry with experience in all areas: framing, rough, forming, finish 
• Experience in both commercial and residential construction
• Ability to work independently in the trade, some supervision of helpers as needed
• Occasional weekend availability and overtime required
• Valid driver’s license
• Steel-toed safety boots
• Able to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding work

Wages offered between $32.50 per hour for at full-time hours ranging between 32 and 44 hours per week. 

Usually daytime hours but some weekend work required if project demands it.
