Solar Roofing & Sheet Metal Ltd. is a roofing contractor based in Toronto providing top quality roofing services to the institutional, commercial and industrial roofing sector throughout southwestern Ontario. 

NOW HIRING

Built-Up Flat Roofers (NOC 7291)

Seeking qualified industrial / commercial flat roofers for full-time employment (between 32 and 44 hours per week).

REQUIREMENTS

• Ideal candidate has least three (3) years of experience on commercial roofs
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Required up-to-date safety certifications would be assets but training provided: WHMIS, Propane in Construction, Rooftop Safety, Fall Protection
• Weekend availability an asset
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions (cold, heat, etc.)
• Ability to work in physically demanding job in a fast-paced environment

DUTIES INCLUDE

• Installing, repairing and replacing conventional and inverted built-up flat roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
• Installing, repairing and replacing modified bitumen roofing systems, single-ply sheet membrane systems etc.
• Applying waterproof coatings to concrete and other masonry surfaces below and above ground level
• Using overhead hoists, asphalt kettles, conveyor belts, hand and power tools
• Provide training to entry-level and apprentice roofers

WAGES
Wages are commensurate with experience. Competitive wages offered. Between $28 and $40 per hour. Benefits available after probationary period.
