Bharat Jeweller is looking for One Permanent, Full time Bookkeeper to assist in running our growing store and could join immediately.

Location:  155-8120 128 St, Surrey, BC V3W 1R1

Title: Bookkeeper

Positions Available: 1 (One)

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible

Compensation: $24.50 per hour

Work hours: 40 hours/week

Terms: Permanent Full-Time

Language of Work: English

Job duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain financial records and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
• Perform all functions related to the collection of receivables, including proactive account review, ongoing monitoring
• Verify payables for accuracy, and resolve discrepancy issues in a timely manner
• Ensure correct monthly closing of books of accounts by posting relevant month end journal entries
• Preparing & reconciliations of monthly/periodic financial statements & analyze financial records and transactions to correct errors and make required changes
• Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills
• Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents
• Prepare tax returns and perform other personal bookkeeping services

Skills and Education:

• 2-3 years of direct related experience
• Completion of a diploma/degree in the field is required

• Completion of Secondary School
