Ventura Room is an intimate retreat from the everyday, where carefully curated cocktails are what we do best. We’re currently looking for a Bartender to join our team.
- Position: Bartender
- Work Hours: 30-35 hours per week
- Wage: $19/hour
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Benefits: 4% of gross salary in lieu of vacation
- Work Location: 695 Cambie St, Vancouver, BC, V6B 0K9
Main duties
- Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
- Mix liquor, soft drinks, water and other ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks
- Prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages for food and beverage servers or serve directly to patrons
- Provide recommendations on drink selections
- Collect payment for beverages and record sales
- Maintain inventory and control of bar stock and order supplies
- Clean bar area and wash glassware
- Ensure compliance with provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
- Address customer’s complaints or concerns and adjust beverages as required
- Arrange bar area to make attractive displays
Requirements/Education
- Completion of secondary school required.
- Responsible beverage service certification required.
- Serving It Right Certificate required
- At least 1 year of Bartending experience required.
