Description
Houston Food Market is located at 3428 9th St. Houston, BC V0J 1Z0. We are currently looking for permanent, full time Bakers. If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail.
Position: Baker
Wages: CAD$16.00/hour
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay
Job Duties:
• Prepare dough, mixtures, and icing & frostings for various baked items including bread, muffins, scones, and cakes based on the recipes and customers’ orders;
• Cut, shape and bake dough and mixtures;
• Frost and decorate cakes and other baked goods;
• Prepare production schedules to determine right quantities and types of goods to produce;
• Maintain and requisition baking supplies and materials;
• Ensure quality of goods meets the shop’s standards;
• Train staff.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school;
• Completion of a three-or four-year apprenticeship program for bakers or completion of a college or other program for bakers or 2-3 years of commercial baking experience.
