Description
Duties:
- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods; batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders;
- Bake mixed dough and batters;
- Prepare special orders;
- Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods;
- Draw up production schedules;
- Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards;
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas;
- Operate machinery;
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff;
- Organize and maintain inventory
Food Specialties: Breads and rolls, Desserts and pastries, Wedding and specialty cakes, Donuts and muffins, Cake decorating
Education: High school (or equivalent experience)
Experience: 1 year as Baker
Wages: $12.50/ hr for 40 hrs/week
Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time
