Description
Café La Forêt in Burnaby, BC is looking for a baker to work with our team.
Title: Baker
Opening: 1 position (Permanent, Full-time)
Salary: CAD 17.00-19.00 per hour
Working Hours: At least 30 hours per week
Location: 6848 Jubilee Avenue, Burnaby, BC, V5J 4B3
Benefit:
- 4% of gross pay or 10 days of paid vacation
- Extended health and dental benefits after 6 months of employment
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school education is required.
- At least 2 years of apprenticeship program for bakers or commercial baking experience is an asset.
Main Duties:
- Make batters and doughs for bread, waffles, macarons, sweet baked goods and fillings and icings according to standardized recipes and customized orders
- Bake prepared doughs and batters
- Decorate and garnish cakes and baked goods
- Ensure to maintain high quality of baked products
- Set production schedule to determine types and number of products to bake
- Monitor and restock baking supplies
