We are looking for “Baker” for The Food Dudes Inc. located at 111 Princes Boulevard Toronto, ON M6K 3C3 Canada.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•The primary focus will be supporting and driving the Pastry Department in any pastry outlet across the hotel/ offsite events. Including pastry and bread production.

•Must have the ability to work independently, be a team player, manage complexity, work efficiently, be flexible, responsible and have a positive attitude.

•Will be able to take direction, follow a recipe/identify and notify potential errors, execute recipes from start to finish, and have a great eye for details.

•Participates and initiates in providing creative solutions for any hurdles and continuous improvement

•Build and Contribute to a positive team culture. Set an example for junior pastry team members

•Ensures that all food is prepared to the standards as set out by the Executive Pastry Chef.

•Ensures cleanliness and strict sanitization of pastry department, main and restaurant level.

•Ensures that all food preparation equipment is being used safely and correctly and that it is cleaned and maintained after each use

•Assist and initiate Daily Food Ordering for entire Pastry program

•Assist and initiate Prep Lists and assign tasks for Junior Pastry team members.

Prerequisites:

Education:                                Secondary certificate or equivalent experience

Experience & Skills:                 1 year to less than 2 years in the food industry.

Language                                 English

Physical:

Hourly Rate: $ 15.60 to 22.00 per hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent

Benefits:  4 % Vacation Pay
