The Role:

Reporting to the Cashier Department Head (DH), the Cashier Assistant Department Head provides hands on supports to the Cashier DH, coordinate and supervise the Cashier department’s daily operation and to ensure that it is functioning under good conditions.

Language

  • English

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience:

  • 2 years or more of experience as a cashier
  • 2 years of supervising or managing experience

Specific Tasks

  1. Provides hands on support and assistance to the Cashier DH in the following aspects:

(a) Manage and supervise department daily operation and staff’s working performance

(b) Provide on-the-job training, shadowing, guidance and supervision to department staff

(c) Achieve through teamwork the department goals set by the company
  1. Handle customers’ complaints, build rapport with our customers by providing good smile, eye contact and attention to them
  1. Assist Cashier DH to manage cash, staff uniforms and consumable items
  1. Coordinate in arranging all in store promotion activities
  1. Lead by example by performing all hands-on duties required in the Cashier Department
  1. Proceed check out service politely, accurately and efficiently
  1. Generate and follow up various store management reports
  2. Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior
