Tasks

The tasks include making necessary adjustments, repairs, or replacements to parts and components of commercial transport truck systems. It involves conducting inspections and tests on mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions. Furthermore, inspecting the motor while in operation, conducting road tests on vehicles, and testing automotive systems and components are part of the role. Adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components of automotive and truck-trailer systems is required. Diagnosing faults and malfunctions, and consulting with a supervisor to determine whether repair or replacement is necessary, is also an important responsibility. Repairing or replacing mechanical units or components, and testing and adjusting the repaired systems according to manufacturer's specifications, is essential. Estimating costs for parts and labor, performing scheduled maintenance services, and testing and adjusting units to meet specifications are part of the role. Additionally, providing advice to customers regarding the work performed and future repair requirements, documenting problems and completed work in reports, coaching and instructing apprentices, reviewing work orders, discussing tasks with a supervisor, and delivering customer service are included duties.
