Ricky’s Family Restaurants Ltd., a family-style dine-in restaurant chain with over 70 locations across Western Canada, is looking for an Administrative Assistant (NOC 1241) to join their growing team.

 

Position: Administrative Assistant

Work Hours:  30 hrs. per week

Wage: $25.00

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Benefits: 10 vacation days per calendar year

Extended Health Care (Health care plan, Paramedical services coverage, Dental plan, AD & D, Life insurance) commencing after 3 months probatory period.

Work Location: 401-1901 Rosser Avenue, Burnaby, BC, V5C 6S3, Canada

 

Key duties and Responsibilities

  • Reply to email, telephone, or face to face enquiries and relay telephone calls and messages accordingly.
  • Resolve administrative problems and inquiries, and maintain organization of office documents and correspondence.
  • Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations
  • Manage workflow daily, ensuring that deadlines are met, and work is complete
  • Purchase supplies and make sure there is enough inventory for the office
  • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems to keep track of monthly sales per restaurant
  • Create reports on monthly sales and send to Management for analysis and reporting to landlords of each venue where restaurants are located
  • Organize and schedule meetings and conferences when necessary and prepare minutes of the meetings
  • Check the mail and emails and co-ordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations
  • Retrieve and send packages as needed

 

Requirements/Education and other requirements

  • Completion of secondary school required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field required
  • Organized, self-disciplined, motivated and able to work independently
  • Interpersonal communication skills, communicate effectively both written and orally
  • A strong commitment to team culture, positive attitude
