Job Title:   1 Cleaning Supervisor                        Reports to: Owner

Wage – 25.50$ per hour

Hours per week – 40

 

Job Summary:

 

We are a growing cleaning business that is looking for a Cleaning Supervisor who is task oriented and has good leadership skills to lead, co-ordinate our growing services and manage our staff in order to continue providing superb customer service.   The Cleaning Supervisor will report directly to the owner and will be expected to respect and support the role performed by each member of the team and adhere to all safety requirements thus ensuring a positive, productive, safe, and customer-oriented work environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of three or more years of post-secondary education.
  • Fulfilled 3-5 years of supervisory duties. 
  • Must possess excellent Interpersonal English communication skills
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Microsoft office

 

Skills and Abilities

Specific Skills:

  • Hire, train and provide assistance and support to staff while they are carrying out their duties.
  • Act as a communication conduit between owner and staff and coordinate staff activities
  • Schedule and assign specific duties / roles to staff and ensure that they are completed expertly
  • Prepare monthly work schedules, reports, budgets and estimate costs.
  • Supervise staff and inspect completed tasks to ensure work is adequately completed
  • Inspect job sites/facilities to ensure that safety and cleanliness standards are met
  • Liaise with property managers about additional services required at job sites such as equipment repairs, renovations, damages or any other recommendations
  • Purchase, and monitor the usage of cleaning supplies at job sites
  • In the absence of owner co-ordinate activities for all staff members, liaise with clients regarding monthly or additional bookings and keep property managers updated on completed job tasks
  • Perform cleaning duties from time to time or other duties as required by owner

 

Work Condition & Physical Capabilities

  • Physically demanding and includes combination of standing and walking
  • Ability to supervise up to 15 staff

  • A high level of good judgement, integrity and decision making are essential
  • Must have the ability and willingness to work as part of a team, and most importantly, lead a team
  • Must be able to work under pressure, be flexible and reliable
  • Must be willing to work evening and weekend shifts as required
